The overall goal of the E*CARE project is to strengthen the services of the EURAXESS Services Network (former ERA-MORE
Network) members in support of researchers' mobility, and to enhance the
collaboration among Mobility Centres with different background on the basis of
shared experience, practices and tools. A wider strategic goal of the
project is to support EC efforts for building a single labour market for researchers, and ERA as a whole.
The following more specific objectives have been identified:
- to
gather structured information on
remaining and emerging obstacles concerning researchers' career and mobility,
and on recent trends at national level
- to
develop a guide of best practices related to services provided to mobile
researchers, and the country approaches so as to bridge the researchers' career
and mobility barriers
- to
strengthen the competences of MCs'
staff through twinning and exchange of best practices and experience with more experienced
EURAXESS Services Centres (former MCs)
- to
raise the awareness of EURAXESS Services Centres among a wide group of
stakeholders
Its objectives are targeted at
improving the overall coherence and quality of the services offered by the
participating EURAXESS Services Centres. Mobility is an investment in people
and leaves behind networks of people. Therefore, the project will provide EURAXESS
Services members with a number of useful tools, including a collection of
experiences and best practices. It will improve the collaboration among MCs,
strengthen their expertise and knowledge base, their positioning in the country
and raise their visibility among a large number of stakeholders. Last, but not
least, E*CARE will support the national and European dialogue on career and
mobility of researchers with a set of bottom-up determined measures.
The E*CARE project is a 36 month project organised in 5 work packages:
- WP1:
Survey on obstacles for researchers' mobility and career
- WP2:
National trends and Best practices
- WP3:

- WP4:
